MEET LAURA DANCHO
"...She is best suited to represent District 120 in Hartford because she is a moderate Republican and practical thinker."
- CT Examiner, 2022
Successfully Lowering Taxes
In her first year, Rep. Dancho proudly supported the 2023 State Budget Agreement which included the largest income tax cut in state history.
The budget adopted several aspects proposed by Rep. Dancho and her colleagues including $460 million tax cuts, a $150 million education statewide investment, a one-time bonus in funding to non-profits, a student loan reimbursement program for certain CT residents, and a Fallen Hero account that financially supports families of fallen law enforcement officers.
Protecting and Serving Our Communities
In 2022, Rep. Dancho was endorsed by the CT Fraternal Order of Police and has since been recognized for her work on growing our fire and EMS services (PA 23-1), combatting 'street takeovers' (PA 23-112) and catalytic converter theft (SA 23-20).
Rep. Dancho has also supported bills associated with officer training in high-stress situations, less restrictions on police investigation techniques, and collaboration with local law enforcement to secure our communities.
Working For

Rep. Dancho has always prioritized the needs of the Stratford community, especially our veterans, seniors, families, and small businesses.
Last session, she supported bills that protect our seniors from financial exploitation (PA 23-61), improve veteran services (PA 23-34), prevents the harvesting of horseshoe crabs (PA 23-6), designates shorebird protection areas (PA 23-155), and provides municipal funding for the removal of dead or hazardous trees (PA 23-190).
